Phone that works with 2007 TL-S 100%
So I have searched, searched, and searched. I have found nothing. There is that huge sticky where some people say there phone works completely but don't have the new TL-S.
I have Cingular.
I just want a phone that will work with the 2007 TL-S taking advantage of all options including the "Import Phonebook" option found in navigation.
I have searched using:
"TL-S phonebook"
"Razr"
"Cingular razr"
"phonebook"
"phone book"
etc, etc.
So who has a phone that does this?

I have Cingular and a 2007 TL-S. The phone that I have that imports the phone book, shows battery and signal strength, and also shows number calling is the Sony Erickson w810i

Here are threads I've found with a keyword search of import phonebook:
From those threads, you will see that most have luck with Sony Ericsson phones being fully compatible. Also, at least one thread points you to handsfreelink.com, Acura's website that links phone that are compatible, incompatible, or currently in testing phase.
Personally, I think there are too many of these threads, but I will leave this thread open so people can post phones that are fully compatible with the new TL-S.

So it seems Cingular only makes two phones 100% compatible. The w810i states it will do everything but the AcuraLink.
Is the AcuraLink worthwhile? I see it's suppose to make sense out of things like a check engine light or other diagnostic issues.
The w810 looks interesting. I hate to give up my Treo but I might to be able to access my phone book. I hope the new Apple iPhone integrates well.

Phone book import
This is exactly what I want to do on my 07 TLS - import my phone book using my 300i and then continue to use my Motorola Raxr V3.
Did it work? I read somwhere, that if you import from a specific phone, that is the only phone that allows you to access the screen based phone book.
Please let me know if you were successful.
Thanks
Viraf

My friend has the 300i and other one has the 800i both from Cingular and both work perfect including the import phonebook option. I have a Motorola Krzr and the signal and battery option work just fine but the import phonebook doesn't work.

I have an 07 TL-S, and my Motorola RIZR Z3 (AT&T, formerly Cingular) works perfectly. I was able to import my phonebook without any issues, and it shows battery and signal strength.
I can't speak for anyone else, but the only notification I get in my TL-S is the phone number of the caller showing up on the screen in the instrument panel below the speedometer.
Is there a feature that I don't know about that allows you to have the caller ID information displayed on the Navi screen?

i've successfully linked my blackberry 8830 ot my 08' TLS... it took a little playing around but i was able to download my address book... but when i recieve a call only the number show up, no caller ID... i can't make a call using a name either... the manual says i should be able to call out a name as well as just saying the number... but i have a feeling they're talking about a different phonebook than the one you import... i even tried manally entering all the info for a contact into the cars address book but i was still unable to make a call by saying the name... any suggestions?

so how do i get the names to who up on an incoming call and where do i have to store the numbers to use the voice dialing... i don't care if they come from my phone or i have to enter them in manually i just want it to work

I have an iPhone and drive a 07 TL-S. Everything works great. Importing phonebooks, seeing battery life, signal and incoming numbers. It is SUPER easy to transfer a call from the phone to car as well (or visa versa), I just have to hit a single button on the phone and it transfers to HFL.
Now you can use the navigation voice recognition to get to the imported phone book but this takes many steps and is annoying. When I use the nav phone book I use the mushroom button.
For most out going calls I make I have programmed the HFL's voice recognition.
The great thing is once you have imported your phone book, instead of having to program the number into HFL normally you can send the imported numbers to the HFL to do a specific voice recognition setup.

You can't get names to come up on incoming calls- just numbers (and that may not necessarily work if you are on the Rogers cell system).
You store the numbers/names in the car's phone book using the HFL and verbal prompts unless your TL can import the phone book from your cell (2007+ TLs plus Sony Ericsson phone) -- check your owner's manual, or here: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...01_OMANUAL.asp, for the instructions on storing numbers.

I have a Samsung phone through Verizon and it won't import my phonebook. If the LG Chocolate VX8550 works 100% I would switch in a second.
