I have an '05 TL, and I WANT MORE POWER TOO! It's not loud enough. My stock Lexus IS300 stereo was louder and I never went higher than 80% on that.

In addition to the volume levels being on the low side, I am pissed that on most DVD-A discs, I cannot listen to the Advanced Resolution 2 track mix . I am NOT a big fan of DVD-A surround sound. I am not impressed at all on most discs. But I was most excited to hear the 2 track remixes. Even hitting the two buttons at the same time and holding them down trick will not help on most of my DVD-As. Is there any direct answer from the manufacturer of the ELS unit about this? That is unforgiveable.

At this point, I am going to take advantage of being able to make my own DVD-A compilations, and I will be boosting the levels on those tracks (but not to the point of clipping). I do find some of my CDR's to be much louder than the DVD-A discs.

BTW kritcher, I think you kept making a mistake in your explanation. You kept saying that the 5.1 mixes are at 192kHz. I thought that the 5.1 mixes are 24 bit/96kHz and the Advanced Resolution 2 track mixes were at least 24bit/96kHz and up to 24bit/192kHz. I've never seen any surround mix sampled at 192kHz.

Well, I may take my car to the dealer for the hell of it, as if they'll know what I'm talking about. It would be great if there was a magic switch/knob that boosted it a bit! I'll let you guys know for sure, but I don't expect a miracle.

You are correct on the rez spec's. Not sure why I kept saying 192 for DVDa/DTS 5.1 except for the "potential" of the technology. Most DVD-a discs are indeed 24 bit/96kHz.

Thanks for the fauz pas catch!
