Thanks.

I can still hold my golf clubs it there. Its not as small as it seems in the pic. At first I thought I would have more room in my trunk than I needed, but when I tried to put a large suitcase inside, I couldn't. So I plan on redoing the sub when the ipod adapter comes out. I think I am going to put a 12W7 on the left side of the trunk.

Both. DVD Rom was the only part I bought used. Everything else was brand new from the dealer.

Holy S*** thats a sweet install. Nice work. I didnt catch your answer to this...how long did it take for those guys to do the install?
I may travel down to HotLanta to have them do it if I can find all the parts.
If I can find all the parts for 1700 mor so and add another 500 for labor I would be one happy camper. I love my TL and the only thing I would change is getting the navi...I have an 04 6 speed with zero problems.

Smile navi

I am so glad someone figured out the navi thing. I am planning to do the same setup on my non navi 04. One question, why did you have a cd changer installed? Won't the factory changer unit work with the new navi upgrade? can I use my factory changer unit with the upgrade. Thanks for all you info on the upgrade.

factory navi parts

I have researched both of parts companys you suggested but by the time I do the math I am looking over $3000.00 for the parts. How did you get you parts so cheap? Were your parts new or from a junk yard.

Luck, I guess. It took me over two months to find all the parts. The only used part I used was the ROM.

Can You Help Me With Getting Factory Nav

I was wondering if you could give me the number or the e-mail address so that I can purchase it and have it installed. I would have got the nav when I bought the car but I was on my way to Iraq and wanted the car not to wait for one to come in with navi. So any information that you could give me would be great.

thanks POLOTL

3.39541-SEP-A40-Navi Bracket
4.39051-SEP-A41ZA -Navigation display
5.35890-SEP-A11- Switch Ass. HFL and Navi guide
6.84651-SEP-A01ZA -Trunk carpet
7.39710-SEP-A41-Clock display

I also bought a whole bunch of clips and screws. I didnt use all of them and I cant find thier part numbers, if I do I will update. I did not get a harness with the parts that I bought. The installer used 32751-SEP-A00. It is a door harness. He said that it had the two connectors that I needed. The harness that actually goes there is 32117-SEP-A30. It costs alot. As far as making the door harness work, you will have to talk to the installer. As far as time down on this project, he said to expect 2 days. Mine took longer because of trouble shooting and the system.

I will find out about the solar sensors in the next few days. If that is the only thing I have lost by doing this conversion, I am ok with it. I am just glad I have a new toy.

By the way, I have the carpet for the trunk if anyone is interested. Pm me.
And FYI about these parts. I know only a few people are taking this on, but I was one of them. The 32117-SEP-A30 is specific to the stick cars and won't work with the automatic. Automatics use a different harness 32117-SEP-A20. The best thing to do is go to Del Ray Acura's parts site, look at the wire harness diagrams for the current car and for the navi version of the car and note which harnesses are different.

navi

You have to buy the navi unit (dvd rom unit) the navigation display screen, and the clock. ALL INDIVIDUAL PARTS. I bought my dvd rom unit used from a salvage yard, the screen and clock I bought new from saveautodparts.com. Andy had new screens for $800.00 which is a good deal. I think Acura gets around $1600.00. The clock should run you around $125.00 new.
