new use for cold cathode tubes

got these off ebay for like $3 plus shipping. i mounted them to the trunklid liner to add light when the trunk is open. they are wired in with the trunk light (which i replaced with a 6 lens led) .

I like that idea, a great way to shed more light on the subject.

I took these off my car. one of them went bad and the other one started blowing interior light fuses. it might still work but i would recommend higher quality tubes

It takes a lot to blow a 10 amp or even 7.5 amp fuse... I would be make sure that something isn't grounding out.

Mine lasted about 18 months before the inverter went bad.
