new sub in the stock sub hole qaulity?
i recently replace my stock sub with MTX 8" i think a 120W that i pick up from my bro. it fit in just barly and the tite down screw is off so i had to drill a new hole . and i'm not happy with the sound. i do have aftermarket amp to push it, but when i turn the valume about 15 the base is gone all i hear is air pushing. i also use dynamat all over the rear deck. any idea what to do? add spacer? close or open any hole for more air or less air for it to push?
thanks.
thanks.

I have the same interest in replacing my stock woofer. I am looking for a good free-air sub because I don't have the time or motivation to build up a sealed enclosure for the rear deck.
I used to have a 95 accord that I modded like crazy, and now that I have an 05 TL NAVI, I don't want to touch anything...Anyone out there know of a decent free-air woofer that would work a lot better than the paper crap they throw in for stock?
thanks in advance--
