New member, quick question for you guys...
Hey all,
I've been lurking for quite some time as I contemplated purchasing a TL. The day has finally arrived and I will be picking up a 2006 TL on Saturday morning. I got what I believe to be a very good deal on a 1 owner, dealer maintained vehicle with one small hickup.
The car currently doesn't have a nav disc with it and I will need to purchase a new one after I take possession. I really dont know what version the software currently is and don't want to drop the money for a DVD that is too many updates ahead and will not load.
Can someone direct me on how I go about finding out what disc I need?
Thanks all. I intend on being very active in the community and posting photos as soon as my 15 day intro expires.

You can access the Navi DVD updates through the Acura website, which should link to Navteq at: http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT.../Default-Start
I think the Orange DVD is currently at version 3.A0.
Your TL probably shipped with 3.50 or 3.60. Most people skip DVD updates, so you should be OK. IIRC, some people went straight from the 3.40 to 3.A0 for their 2004 TL Navis with no issues. I skipped a few versions on mine and had no issues with the predecessor to 3.A0 (3.90, I think).

Congrats and welcome to AZ! You may want to register her at www.myacura.com. Save your Navi and radio codes there for safe keeping.
