After my coveted setup of 2 x Alumapro Alchemy RX DVCs were stolen along with my Arc Audio XXK2500, teh fates have been so kind as to throw one of these beasts up on eBay. Now, personally, I'm a massive Arc Audio fanboy, and some d00d put up a Kar series 1000V.1 amp, which isn't quite the XXK-1500 I was looking for, but a goddamn good close second, and the price I got all of this at is, well, insane. (HINT: Under $300 for EVERYTHING...shipped...this would have run about $800 new)

SO, the new setup is
12" Alumapro Alchemy RX DVC
Arc Audio Kar 1000V.1
1.5-cubic foot sealed box

...HOLY HELL, was it EVER worth biding my time to get the RIGHT gear. Again, for metal/trance heads who need tight, precise, FAST bass response, Alumapro is WHERE IT'S AT, PERIOD!

Just got finished running a Nile playlist, and this setup hammered out the entire set without skipping a single beat.

Just felt like sharing, this setup is the gosh darn bees knees

I didn't know they still sell Alumapro, we had one local dealer years and years ago and they're gone so you just don't hear anything about them. Sounds like they're still pretty mean though from what you're saying.

As with most higher-end gear, they're seldom heard of with the exception of audiophile inner circles.

These truly are unsung gems.
