I want to get the Escort 9500ci http://www.escortradar.com/9500ci.htm system for my 05 TL. The problem with all these systems is that they are ugly, impede my vision, etc. Even this new system has two big controllers to mount somewhere...I'm just not sure where? This is where I wanted to get your advice.

I have not opened up the overhead/maplight plastic near the windshield yet, but can I potentially stuff the message indicator in there at an angle? That would leave me only having to find a hole for the controller and that would probably end up in the VSA false spot. Is that a feasible plan? I also have to figure out where to mount the main controller unit (under the driver's seat???)

God some feedback. 9500ci comes with 2 controllers that can be assembled to mount flush with a dash board. I might put them in the flip up compartments underneath the nav (nothing occupying those so far.)

Now I just want to find more about where people are successfully placing the laser shifters in the front end of their cars?

they aren't big pieces. and the display is optional. you could use just the LEDs. mount the controller wherever and mount the display if you want to..done.
