Need some verification on 9500ix (purchased) - chime in passport owners!

What up all?! Anyways, long story short, I pulled the trigger on an escort passport 9500ix for the TL. Unfortunately, I'm on my fifth exchange, because i can't seem to find one that isn't scratched up/beaten up. I've checked 3 of the 5 exchanges, and all them have a small "rash" on the bottom of the detector (where the actual radar receiver is on the unit) and all of them seem to have a scratch here and there. Also, the lighting on the damn unit on top seem oddly dim - the volume keys in comparison to everything else. Normal? Am I just being anal....?

THANKS!!!

I love my 9500ix. Works like a charm.

The lighting on top isn't super bright, but I have mine mounted to the right of my rearview mirror so I can't see the top anyway. I just learned where the buttons were by touch and haven't had a problem.

If you do keep it, look into picking up an invisicord hardwire cable. It's under $20 and is a simple and clean way to hardwire your detector. There is a good DIY on here if you search for it.
