So I look my battery out of my 05 TL and now its asking for a radio code for my radio to work? My car is from California I live in Nebraska so the whole dealership thing won't help. How else do I get the code? Thanks.

The Navi and audio passwords were on a plastic business card that came with the car's paperwork. Check the leatherette manual holder's slots for it. Also check the spare tire compartment tray for the card and through the paperwork you received when buying the car.

If you're unable to locate the card, check the owner's manual to see if the passwords were written into the spaces for the passwords.
Otherwise, techs sometimes put the passwords on a sticker in the glovebox area or on top of the underhood fuse box.

Otherwise, you'll need to get the radio's serial number to give to the dealer along with the VIN so it can pull up the radio code; this can be done by phone or in a dealership, IIRC.

turn the headunit off and while holding 1 and 6 turn it on. This will give you 2 sets of numbers/letters with only the numbers being the radio serial number.

Go here: https://radio-navicode.acura.com/

I bought my car used and was still able to obtain my code this way.

Lmao

Did you check the glove box left side??????? Most Honda/Acura codes are located to the left of the glove box when you open the box up.

Hello all I drive a 04 Tl with Navi. I'll have to agree with user above .in my experience I would always find the codes on the bottom side of the lid of Underhood fuse box . I've even been able to find codes for cars that are in the junkyard in the same place. At least for the 04_06 . 07 and up it's hit or miss. My uncle owns a body shop so every know and then he would have to disconnect the battery and when it came time to get the radio working the first place he looks is that fuse box. The other stuff the user is saying completely true there is a business card thing that comes with the manual it has the code on it . It's also just scattered all around in particular spots. (obvious places) And yes if no dice on finding the code physically you'll have to do the radio trick and take it to the dealer. I wouldn't suggest doing it that way as what I heard Acura charges you a hefty fee. Also I'm not sure if you know, There are 2 codes *u* upper and *L* lower .*U*being the Navi. I believe the Navi is a 4 digit and the ELS tapedeck/DVD thing is 5 digits .hope that helps .
