Video for what my radio does

viperkorn 06-22-2017 06:17 PM

Odd one, does it do that at lower volume. seems it cuts off when the bass hits harder. Amp maybe.

It does it at any given volume

viperkorn 06-22-2017 07:51 PM

handsfree for your phone on? have you tried a cd? Turning off sub? to me it seems to cut off every time the bass is going to hit.

Jae Cross 06-22-2017 08:17 PM

sounds more like a bad antenna. Try to change it out.

Bryant Arbito 06-22-2017 09:16 PM

Hands free doesn't work the CD changer does work, and I thought it could be the antena but the you still hear that noise even when the radio is off

viperkorn 06-22-2017 10:16 PM

Ok I was not sure what noise you were referring to but I went back and hear it, its not noise its a voice speaking in Spanish I could not hear much but he was saying station numbers. Put more of the video on your youtube let it play longer so I can hear what they are saying in case its a pirate station. if not its your radio gone bad AM band could be leaking through.

Try swapping the AMP. Borrow one, and plug it in without mounting to save time. Takes a few seconds.

Where can I get one?

I wonder if the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is interfering with the radio? What leads me to believe this is that OP says he still hears a sound when the radio is off. There are a number of threads here on AZ, but I haven't taken the time to read them in detail

I was leaning towards this and the amp being culprits as well.

Scratch that completely just changed it and it's still doing it could it be the radio unite it's self? If so how does an aftermarket look on it? I like how it looks stock tho which sucks but I need music

BreezyTL 06-24-2017 09:45 AM

Hey, I have a radio unit for sale if you decide to replace it. What are the numbers on the tape deck door? I will see if I have a match.

i've referred to it as the shift boot console/trim and super easy to buy off a part out.

weitaoli123 11-18-2017 12:46 AM

By any chance, do you still have the video? It seems like I have the same problem but I want to make sure before I get a new radio unit
