Navigation Weird Sounds

Navigation Weird Sounds
I have searched around, and read a few different articles on here and this place is great! I just got this car 3 days ago, its an 04 ASPEC and I am loving it. It has a few quirks with the navigation system however.
The first issue it has is that every time I start the car, it re-downloads the software and prompts for the 4 digit radio code. From searching the forums I was able to find out how to check the plugs in the back of the DVD drive, and they didn't seem loose, but I pushed on them anyway. That seems to have fixed the issue for now.
I think I might have another underlying issue though, that could have something to do with the module? This issue is I cannot use the navigation voice controls, and I get a weird squeeky sound when I try to "list" the commands, I assume when I select "list" it should read the commands to me. I have a youtube video that shows what happens when I try to do this, and also shows how the HFL works and all.
Is it the module that would cause this? Is it perhaps because I am on the original orange nav disk? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Is the module something that is flashed? I see a flash card slot in the DVD drive, and was curious about that as well.
Other than that issue, the car is super clean, mechanically sounds great (105k service soon though, ugh ) and brakes. I have been downloading all the info from this site into my head for the upcoming weeks! Really clean forums for finding stuff here, I hope I can help out in any way I can!
Sorry for the /walloftext I type a lot

I can't help you with what might be causing the squeaky noise or why the voice controls might not be working, but a couple of thoughts:
(1) The PC Card slot on the Navi unit in the trunk doesn't do anything. They said it was reserved for future use, but that future use has not yet come to pass, at least not in a way that car owners can use.
(2) On my '04, the "List" command doesn't do anything with the Navi, only with the HFL after you enter the "Setup" menu. Saying "Help" brings up the index of voice commands. If I say "List" I just get an error sound (sounds like three fairly quick beeps).
