Navigation voice speaker

Can somenone with a shop manual or knowledge illustrate to me where the voice speaker is for the navigation? the nagging female voice on my navi is cracking. I want to replace the voice speaker/piezo that's probably broken.

center top dash right above the navigation system - 99% sure. just a question - how many miles do you have? I'm assuming you're over the warranty?

I have an 04 with only 49,000km ~ 30,500miles?. She went nuts on me exactly a month after the warranty expired.

And now she's rattling like a VW. My brother's 04 TSX with twice the mileage on it is still flawless

actually, the navi voice comes out of ALL speakers. it's not tied to any specific speaker. it is tied directly to the main audio system, thus outputs through all speakers and is controlled by the main master volume.

at least that is how it is in an 06'...

As far as the eletrical diagram in my head, you are wrong. The TL has mute wires which mute the front speakers in the doors, then the audio for the nav is routed to the center channel.

csmeance, so there is no specific speaker dedicated to the navi? My music seem to be fine. Let me crank up the center speaker later and see if I can detect the crackling.

In my 08 the navi voice comes out of the center speaker only. (as far as I can tell) HFL uses the door speakers and not the center speaker.

with the 04-08 tl, the center is inactive unless DVD-A in 5.1 is being played. in 2007+ DPLII can use the center channel, but you won't get enough volume to distort it.

sorry, I was confusing Navi with the HFL voice. HFL voice prompts and in-call sound comes out of all speakers.
