Navigation Update Offer
It appears they are offering the $100 update, but this time you have to buy three years of updates at one time. I was hoping they would offer the single $99 update again...:annoyed:
2012 White DVD Map Update v4.A2 - $ 149.00 Update your map for your navigation system and ensure you have the most recent highways, subdivisions and points of interest. 2012 White DVD Map Update v4.A2 MapCare - $ 299.00 MapCare(TM) provides 3 consecutive years of annual Acura navigaton map updates for a single one-time cost. A savings of 33% on 3 annual map updates. |
And only the white 07/08 versions.......

Map update
What is the difference between white and orange updates?
|
The short answer is they are for different Navigation systems and are not interchangeable. You need the correct one for your system. Someone else may be able to answer more specific questions if you have any.
Check the link above. After selecting a model and year click on compatibility, it will tell you all the vehicles the DVD works in. |
Yea i was looking foward to that $99 update again...... :(
Maybe they'll offer it at some point. |

Why no Alaska yet? I hate looking at a box that says "Out of Service Area".

Does anyone actually (via purchasing) update their navigation every single year? At $149, it'd be the same price to skip the 2nd year and purchase the 3rd (well, actually you'd save $1). That way, if you decide you don't need the 3rd year either, you've saved $150 (as you'd have to purchase the 4th year no matter what).
Also, I'd be curious to see the subscription terms regarding not needing future disks due to not owning a compatible car anymore (car gets sold, etc.). I imagine it would suck to spend $299 on navigation disks and then not even have any use for the subscription after 2012. Although, personally, to quote a portion of my reply: I imagine it would suck to spend $299 on navigation disks Now, if they also offered some type of warranty/protection plan on the navigation unit itself once you subscribed, it'd actually be a pretty nice option... get 3 years of updates and waive the $150 repair fee if you have to send in your unit if it breaks... that would be a value that you couldn't even download. ...wait, what? But seriously, they'd sell a ton of 3 year subscriptions that way, more than offsetting the cost of the repairs. |

thanks for the awesome deal link!

I NEED to do this soon even though I really don't use navi much anymore. In areas I've lived with a lot of construction like the Phoenix/Mesa area, my maps were outdated when the car was 2 years old. Now they're REALLY outdated.
I wasn't aware Acura offered a yearly update, I thought they were every 2-3 years. |
Is there even a huge difference between CDs I mean every year is kinda crazy.

Ahhh. I need the 2012 Orange, but no way I'm paying that new!! Wowzers
My 2004 disc is dated just a little lol |
