Navigation Traffic does not work after upgrade to 4.73a

After upgrading the navigation in my 2008 TL from version 4.62 to version 4.73a, the Traffic Incidents no longer work. I get the message "no traffic within 30 miles". Contacted XMradio and they refreshed my signal twice and after the refresh completed, I still get this message anytime I select Traffic Incidents. My maps appear to work fine as well as all my XMradio stations, just not the Traffic Incidents.

XMradio customer service verified my subscription to their premium traffic service is good until 2011. They could not provide any additional support.

I may want to downgrade the software to version 4.62 to see if the problem goes away but wanted to make sure there was nothing that was not configured before I went to that extreme.

I would appreciate any responses to help me resolve this problem.

you can schedule a re-sync with XM, did you try that? You know when you have to leave your car on for 15minutes on channel 0 or 1.

Thank you for the reply. Since I posted the message, I contact XMradio customer support again and XMradio customer support transfered me to their Technical support. Over the period of a day, Tech support tried 2 times to refresh the signal to the radio and their instructions were to have the radio on Channel 1 (the Preview Channel), on the Default navigation screen and leave the car on for 1 hour. Neither time resolved the problem. I still get the message "There is no traffic incidents within 30 miles." I called the Acura dealer yesterday and they were calling the Acura Tech Line to see if this could be a problem with the GPS receiver in the car. Have not heard back yet from Acura.

I finally took my Acura TL to the dealership. The XMradio receiver module that receives Acuralink messages and Realtime traffic had failed about the same time as I did the 4.73a update. They replaced the module and everything works fine. You do not need an XMradio subscription, you can get Realtime traffic but it is not worth the cost just for the traffic. If you have a Garmin or some other GPS, you can get the Navtec traffic. Navtec does the realtime traffic for XM.
