Navigation Commands
I just purchased my new TL this past Friday and am having a little difficulty with the navi commands. What voice prompts do most users find helpful? I must be getting the exact wording wrong for some of them. I tried "find closest Chinese restraunt," but the system did not recognize (my saleman did it, and now I can't seem to). Also, I tried to enter a friend of mine's address, but it was not in the system. Is there a better way to enter?

Don't say "find closest"—say "find nearest." It should recognize that. "Find nearest gas station" is very useful when travelling, IMO. I've probably used that one most often when I'm away from home on a non-Interstate where they don't have those blue signs. I've used "find nearest ATM" but it's of limited use if you want to find your own bank as opposed to just any old ATM.
"Find nearest brothel" won't work, though. I tried that once and it interpreted it as "hotel" and listed the Super 8.
For entering an address, I usually start with the city because street names are so often duplicated—if you do the street name first, it will list every city in the selected state or province that has that street name and you then have to page through it.
I think someone posted a list of all the voice commands (including those for the stereo) somewhere on the forum. A search might find them.
I generally find the voice commands for the stereo to be the most useful, especially when I'm tuning the XM in rush-hour traffic.

well the navi does seem to get "used" to your voice so my suguestion would be to go into the info screen and go to voice command help pick a section and have the car read list the try to repet the command in the same tone/tempo you will pick it up quick if your frind lives close then just drive over to his house then just input the adress by current location
