Here's a question for everyone, hopefully you will be able to help me out.

I disconnected my battery to install a cold air intake on my 05 TL. When i finished and started everything back up, i entered the codes like usual, but when the navigation voice started talking it sounded like nothing but static. I thought that it might have been a dirty disc so I tried cleaning it, but to no avail. I finally settled with just turning the voice off so it wouldn't scare me to death every time it talked.

The phone functions and voice are working just fine, it seems the espresso machine sound only happens when the navigation or voice command prompts are responding or making any sounds. Any idea what could cause this?

don't know what is going on, but I would try resetting the car again -- remove positive terminal for 30min to 1 hour then replace... redo the code input sequence and try the navi again.

15 mins is more than enough to reset the ECU..

The problem does not lie there though.. The static you hear is a frequency interference...

You only hear this noise with the Navi voice? or any sound period?

What else have you disconnected while installing the CAI? Just trace back..
