Naviation is freezing up.

Naviation is freezing up.
Yesterday I went to turn the dial to find a local station and it wouldn't work. I touched the screen and it would take two touches to work. It was getting slow to respond then just locked up. After 20 minutes and fixed itself.
The only thing different was I added the ISimple 4 days ago. It worked perfectly when I installed it. Could it be the ISimple? I did update it before installing it.

the navi drive has it's issues after loosing power for some reason. After the first freeze it'll probably be slow for the next startup or two, but then it should be good to go. I have noticed this on all 3 of my acuras that I have had...

I didn't know disconnecting the cable would have caused it to loose power. I'm just curious why it was fine for the first four days. I just hope that the ISimple is not causing the problem or continues to cause a problem. Thanks csmeance for the quick response.

Since installing an ipod integration unit (NEO), my navi system starting doing strange things. Sometimes the navi would initialize on it's own, I've also had where I could not initialize the navi, non of the navi buttons would work, then after 15 minutes of driving, it initialized on it's own and worked fine. These things happen once every few days or so. I sent an email in to NEO but they are not responding and there is no phone number for support.

So this could be because of the ipod interface!?! I don't want it if it's going to give me a problem. I bought it at circuit city and only have a couple weeks left before I can't return it since they are closing. They will honor the return since i bought it before their announcement.

aren't the isimple and the neo the same thing? I have a USA SPEC and have noticed no issues. Some did report with the early pherial units that their navi systems slowed, so you could be right about the interface for the dvd drive. Also disconnecting XM will not make the navi loose power, you are supposed to disconnect the battery when doing ANY electrical work.

I have this problem randomly (maybe once every 4-6 weeks). It was much more frequent before I updated the iSimple firmware.
I notice the problem happens more frequently if my iPod is disconnected. I also notice the problem happens more frequently if I'm parked and listening to music with the engine off and then start the car without first turning the ignition off.

I have the rebooting issue as well with the new NEO unit. It happens every few days so it's not a big problem but I was wondering if others were having similar issues.
