Question Navi voice off (both female and male)

guys,

I am wondering if anyone has figured out a way to switch off voice directions (both male and female) by the navi ?? I find the navi directions list on the screen to be pretty good and find the voice annoying. Any help is appreciated.

Just lower the volume all the way or hit the off button on the first page of the setup screens for the volume. Nav will full operate, but with no voice...

If you turn the volume down all the way, don't you lose the stereo also?

Hit Setup, and on the first screen there is a volume bar. Touch OFF.

That will mute the navi, but everything else stays the same. No interruption in music while navi is operating either.

I keep mine muted, I feel the same way you do.

Select 'off' for volume in the setup screen. Lowering the volume will cause your stereo to cut off when the navi person speaks.

hey guys, I just got my TL and have a problem shutting off the voice for the Navi.
I went to setup and hit off for the voice but it is still giving me the directions verbally. However, when I use voice commands like "What time is it?" I do not get a response which is what I would expect with the voice turned off. So it looks like the off setting is working partially. Any ideas?

You can have mine. I don't have voice on the Navi period! I don't even have to go to set up to shut mine off.
