Angry Navi issue... ugh!

So today I finally decided to tear apart my dash console to get the serial number off the navigation unit since I didn't have it. Btw, I managed to get a new Navigation disc for my 03 TL-S. But anywho, I called Acura Client Services and they gave me the navi code for that particular serial number, and it didn't work. So he told me to get the serial number of the navigation's dvd drive in the trunk, and it generated a 5 digit code. I've tried using the beginning and end of the 5 digit code, but the navi wont take it. What do I do now?!?

you got the wrong number is all
The back of the screen is not the one
The one you can see on the side of the nav drive is usually not the real one

unplug and remove the nav drive in the trunk- look on the top of it for a serial number
Go to the dealer and ask them to run it for code
the nav may be 4 digit- radio 5 it differs on years

I have an owner link account already since i've bought the car, there's not navi code on there. and since the vehicle was registered under someone else, my number doesn't work for navi code retrieval.

Thanks for all the help guys. Fortunately, I called ACS again and the rep gave me a different code and all worked well.
