My navigation screen says "please check your disc"

I took out the entire navi/dvd and disconnected all the wires and replugged them back in.
Nothing.
I disconnect my battery for 30 minutes and it still doesnt do anything

Area on my XM
I feel ya... I lost my Navi earlier this summer. It still has power, but doesn't boot up. Everything else continues to work (LCD screen, XM, etc), so I haven't been pressed to pull it out of the trunk and ship it to Alpine to be refurbed. Come to think of it, I'll probably tackle that this fall.
I'm guessing either your unit died, or like mentioned above, maybe a fuse (although I doubt that this is the issue)... Let me know what you come up with.

Bump..
'05 TL Navi with same problem "Please check your disc" and I can't eject the disk
If I disconnect the Navi in the trunk, the error goes away, but it appears that there is no power to the unit.
I checked the fuses in the panel by the brake pedal and didn't find any failed ones.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the harness going to the Navi drive?

unplug the battery for 30 minutes and plug it back together. This helped fix a similar issue I had with my DVD drive not booting up

Thanks for the suggestions...
I disconnected the battery for 30 mins with no change after reconnecting.
Tried wiggling/disconnecting/cleaning connectors with no luck.
No light on the eject button.
One interesting thing is that if disconnect the Navi drive, the Navi screen message goes away, so there is at least some communication between the Navi front end and the drive.

It seems the dvd drive went out thats why you not getting any light on it. but double check your fuse, it shouldn't be that hard... or start unplugging all of them and double checking them, I'm sure its a 10-15amp fuse, shouldn't be bigger than that.

Thanks. I actually triple checked the fuses
At this point, I think the Nexus7 retrofit is the best option. Looking at some of the great installs on the site and just going through the options. But it looks like for $300 or so, can do a really nice setup with the Nexus.
Thanks for the help.
