NAVI DISC for $50 on Craigslist

A guy locally is selling Navi disc for $50 on Craigslist. He said its not orignal Disc, its a copy of the Orignal 2011 NAVI Disc.

Will this work without any issues? Is anyone using a copy of the orignal navigation disc?

As I understand it, no one has been able to duplicate the Orange '04-'06 disc versions to get them to operate in the Navi; IDK about the White '07-'08 Navi disc.

Suggest you do a search here for viability if you're seriously thinking of getting the "copy" rather than a more recent authentic disc off the Black Market here or e-Bay.

Just a note to everyone....

Guys, we do not promote or condone the illegal duplication of copyrighted materials, like the Navigation disc.

Just so you know, yes, the discs have been copied in the past, but not with a lot of luck. Obviously, it is not recommended.

If they have a problem and a tow truck driver or Acura tech notices the Backup of the Disc has been used, not the original.. they go drirectly to jail. Physically anyone should be able to tell the difference between the original and DVD-R media.

You can get the 2011 v4.92 white DVD legitimately for $149 until June 30. Original price $185.

http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...gationMenu=YES

I have v4.62, and thinking about updating, though I haven't noticed many mismatches to the roads in my local area. But the 2011 will retain more than 80% of its value even when the 2012 DVD comes out, so 20% price discount is worth considering.
