Nav, Stereo and upper info strip shut off
I'm going to start going through fuses but thought I'd present this in case this was known issue with a known fix.
07 TL-S - Driving along, stereo playing, nav on... screen shut off, stereo stopped playing and the information strip shut off.
* HFL works, takes commands and makes calls; no voice response from system.
* Button lights work fine.
* DVD has power, was able to spit out a DVD but wouldn't re-load it.
* Climate controls work fine, no display in upper information strip but it responds to button adjustments.
* Security light on unit is blinking... hadn't noticed it before.
So thinking fuses, battery disconnect system reset (I have codes) and check manual for resetting system.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks in advance for any insight provided.

Question is...... Why did it blow?

That's an outstanding question and I learned something about my car (I've only had it for a bit over a month).
There was a constant wire wrapped around the accessory fuse blade... ever curious, I followed it and found a loomed bundle of wires under my trunk deck. Power, ground, constant and a pair of RCA's. Took the shroud off the battery and found, lying low in the battery tray, a fused connection block (sans fuse).
Just saved my ass a lot of time, money and effort when I go to add a sub and amp. Guessing the constant wire either grounded at the fuse due to lame 'wrap' or the wire grounded in the trunk blowing the fuse.
