NAV hack help please!!!
Alright, I don't usually ask for help unless I seriously need it.
Well, after days of reading, burning different cds with various bin files, and still having my browser window showing about 10 tabs of different forum explanations, I'll ask for that help.
I have an 06 TL with version 3.5 orange nav DVD.
I've made a few images and successfully loaded them to work.
My problem is getting the nag screen text to show, the nag button to disappear and go straight to map, trip computer displaying, and the other display options.
I don't understand what is meant when saying use command prompt. I know what it is and I've used it for simple things before, but I can't get it to process anything for dumpnav.
Is there a clear known and proven method of hacking this damn nav unit???
Thanks in advance.

Ok, I've tried getting to where you would extract files in dumpnavi by downloading Dumpnavi - console. Well it seems to give me a new dumpnavi exe but when I try to open it (after extracting) it opens and closes a command prompt screen within .001 seconds. So I can't get around this.

You need to run dumpnavi from the command prompt.
Start >> Run >> cmd
Then, switch directory (cd) to the directory with your dumpnavi executable AND the .BIN files and run the commands from that directory.

Bump!
making a little more sense....
ok, i've figured out some of the problem. I had already copied the nav disc so i didn't have it in my drive. also, i already downloaded dumpnavi and cebin directly into my new NAV folder, instead of just desktop, then extracting to NAV.
I'm going by this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...ount=87I'm stuck now at "expand the bin file for your car"
I can't figure out how to do that through the command prompt or otherwise.
I'm also lost with what's being said about an Accord's BIN file.
I know someone is out there that understands this??!

ok you need to put dumpnavi.exe file in your NAVTL directory. You can download it here:
http://philipedge.com/Acura%5FTL/navi-console.zip
they try command code: dumpnavi.exe BNHH401A.BIN extract

thanks for the input.
i've tried that several times.
even now that i'm in the right area in command prompt, i still get the message, " 'dumpnavi.exe' is not recoginized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"
I'm under my folder name for the files, which is NAVI:
