Nav cant find address
Nav cant find address
Navigation was fun to use today for first time. But I had a problem, that I felt I shouldnt. Maybee I am doing something wrong. I tried to put in an address for a major crossroad in my area. The road is probably ten miles long, When I try to put in the name of the street, the keyboard only makes available the first part of the street name, and then for the second part, the letter is not available to type. Could the navi system be missing an entire thoroughfare? It does show it on the screen and identifies it on the map, but could not punch it in, as a search for directions. I hope I am making myself clear. For example- I am looking for 12345 johnson boulevard.
The navi asks me the street nam. I punch in johnson, but then the letter b is not available, even if I skip space.
And info would be appreciated.

And like another kind replier said, maybee I should put the route number in, how would I then find the street number, especially when the streets on this boulevard are structured like 170-25 or 160-43
Thanks
sometimes the st or blvd or pkwy isn't added to the name in the list, so "johnson" may be the exact street you're looking for. you can confirm this by selecting "johnson" and continuing as normal. you'll see the address on the map and be able to tell if this is the correct street. i have to recall that just because it may not how *I* want it to doesn't mean it doesn't work.

another thing you could try is punch in the area on the address screen; bring up the dest. map; find the road you want on the map by using the joystick. Either the road is called something different, or it doesn't exist in the system.

i've also had a few problems in entering certain streets that started with South, North, East, or West... for the ones locally, i`ve tried spelling it out, S. Streetname, S Streetname, S.Streetname, and even just the streetname, but nothing... but when i click on it with the joystick, the name shows... haven`t figured that one out yet...
