My Isimple Proclip Conversion few pics!
First off wanted to let you guys know that i picked up my isimple for 85 bones Circuit City
I was wishy washy on the isimple and pie.. I wanted the pie cuz i wanted the proclip with the input cable locked in.. So when i was told that the isimple clip wont fit in the incasing i was like shit!! but he said it could easily be filed down.. Not sure about that one. i went a different method and i do believe is gonna work perfect
First thing i decided to do was to remove the casing seen here... A couple things you will need to do is trim around the rubber covering so u can fit it in the grove already cut on the proclip... I added some black tape for more protection.
Also this end when its locked in u have to squeeze it together to unlock it.. I used some finger nail clippers pulled those prongs out and snipped them with side cuts.. So you have a nice easy smooth in and out motion
Next if you look really close you can see that the end doesnt fit nice and snug in the area you are givin.. so i had to improvise.. If you look at the bottom of the clip u can see a gap.. If you try to push ir ipod down its not gonna work.. What i used were some of the rubber pieces i cut off ealier. i shoved a piece on eachside to lock it from giving way..

If you snap the cover on.. u had a another gap.. Doesnt fit snug.. I happen to have some double sided sticky tape. Doubled it up put the cover back on screwed it down. PERFECT
the finished product
Only problem i have now is to do this all over again when my 5 volt cable arrives Hopefully this weekend ill have the isimple installed and i will add pics as i go

nice ...but...
the interface between the black wire and the pro-clip .. seems a bit flimsy .. like it'll wear over time.. nothing is really protecting (it doesn't seem) that small region from wear and tear/tugging, etc. I would also recommend using epoxy to fill the gap (pic#1) around the peripheral plug as it sits in the proclip .. this is to prevent that plug from toggling over time as you place and remove your iphone in the proclip... otherwise, nicely done (sorry for the constructive criticism)

Applaud you for your balls. LoL. This is exactly what I didn't want to do and that's why I ponied up the extra 40 bux or so for the pass through connector. I also agree with the fact that the connector isn't on there tightly I feel. Only time and use will reveal that. But you made an excellent decision to go with the proclip.
