So far, I am very happy with the phone.
I noticed the lack of signal strength display as well, that is weird, my previous Razr did show it. Need to look into that, any advice? Signal strength is not a problem with Verizon in my home network, Cingular was awful!

Pairing was quite easy as well...

Overall I love the Q!

Calls Drop with Q

Wondering if anyone had special settings on their q .

Mine paired just fine, but on calls it will drop them once complete, I say transfer and the HFL takes back over...

Trying to find a way to avoid hitting the button and saying transfer all the time... (and Yes Im keeping the q).

any ideas ??

This Phone sucks with the TL

Well After having Acura replace three of the HF units in my car the Motorola phone still has issues with dropping calls when dialing out. I have spent almost a month of my life with verizon to fix the problem they have even replaced the phone after their 30 day period.

Motorola knows about the bug but is unwilling to solve the issue. The have stated now after 30 days that it is a microsoft issue now. They do not write the code.

The phone its is great with active Sync etc but if you really need a handsfree phone in the car do not buy.

Calls drop with Q

Well after having Acura replace the HFL three times and Verizon replace the Q twice I have found out that Motorola is ware of this issue but pushes blame onto Microsoft. They do not have an open trouble ticket and do not plan on a fix in the near future.

This is a pain for I like the Q and can not afford to replace.

So if plannign on buying a new Phone look for other if HFL is a must.

I bought my Q and TL within a month of eachother. I paired them up as soon as I got the TL and never had an issue since. (knock on wood)

My buddy was having problems with delayed SMS messages on VZW. He was on his 4th Q (they kept wanting to blame it on the phone), he told them to either stop sending me Q's and send me a Treo 700wx or let me out of my contract. They sent him a 700wx and it fixed his delayed SMS problem. The more I read about the Q, the more I think it's pile.

(Sorry this is not TL related, I was just hating on the Q)

Mine works perfect........

My old silver Q had problems loosing the connection, but after getting the Black Q with the mol2 software updates all these problems ceased. I've never had a delayed sms problem. This is the 8th phone that I have had paired to my TL, and I think its the best performer. I've have a Treo 650/700p/700w/700wx all had problems, Samsung i730 just hated the phone, Moto Razr....battery sucks, Moto Krzr same as razr. I guess its all personal, but I haven't found a better "smartphone". I am a phoneaholic, but the Black Q is my favorite.

I just no longer use my Q with my 04 TL with 06 HFL unit due to the phone's frequent power shut-offs about three times after it loses its BT connection with the car (when leaving the car) For some reason, it just shuts itself only when using HFL with it. It's a Telus Q. Anyone have a clue?
