Looks like my CD Changer died

Hey all,

Newb here. I don't know much about modding or installing stereos, but yesterday I got the "CD Err" message on my disc changer and any time after that when I try to listen to a CD the whole radio shuts off and won't turn back on until I restart the car. I ejected all of my CD's which took about 10 mins to get them all out, and i'm still having the same issue.

I don't want to take it to my local Acura Dealer for them to tell me they have to replace it. I've done some googling and this isn't uncommon for my model(2004 TL w/ no nav).

I want to get a new unit, preferably one that has a bluetooth stereo module so I can stream from my phone. What all do I need to get?? Just the radio or a brand new cd changer?? Also how do I know what unit's fit my car? Like I said, a complete newb to this lol. Thanks for any advice.

You can get a refurb, or new, unit on ebay and just replace it. $200-300, or so.

Get the model number off of the tape deck faceplate (will be like 1TB2, 1TB0, or something like that) to match up with.

I saw some units on crutchfield that will match, but not sure how they look inside the vehicle. Also going to miss the CD changer but bluetooth stereo and the ability to burn MP3's will cure that, as well as audio in jack for my phone.
