LOADS of Audio Questions and Updates!
Hello all!
In the last month or two, I have done many audio upgrades.
Here is what is COMPLETED so far:
1.) Rockford Fosgate 1000BD Amp
2.) RF (2) 12" Subs
3.) LOC
4.) PLC2 Bass Knob
Here is what I HAVE but need INSTALLED:
1.) USASpec HON3 device
2.) Viper 5706 Remote Start
I have several questions regarding these products.
If you can answer these on my thread, I would be very grateful.
1.) I have a slight alternator whine since I got my setup completed. What do you recommend to fix/mute this? Also is it worth it to get another battery such as the Optima Yellow or another alternator JUST to fix this?
2.) How much should I look for a shop to install both of the products I need installed? I was quoted $308 (including tax) for the installation of the Viper remote start which includes the bypass module. I was also quoted $150 for the installation of the USASpec for my car. Are these fair prices or should I continue to hold off and look elsewhere?
3.) Is the USASpec easy to install by someone who is not a "top notch" mechanic? Also, if I JUST wanted to use the aux feature and not the Bluetooth features, is there an easier way to hook it up? Reason being I disabled my bluetooth so that my battery would live out a little longer and it has.
