Kenwood KSC-SW10 sub
Has anyone seen or used this? It's marketed as a compact sub that fits under the seat or in small spaces. I'm not assuming that it would take the place of a good sub/amp setup, but I am wondering if it might help the cabin experience if I put one or two of these under the seats to compliment the stock sub.
I did a search of the forums but didn't see anything about it.

it was better that having no sub at all, but had a really hard time getting low and keeping up with the rest of the speakers

Thanks. I know that the E9x 3 series has two 8" subs under the front seats to help with the audio so I was just wondering if it would help the TL at all.
Does anyone know how much space is under the front seats?

and i think when i shopped for it was the smallest box
they are more for rear seat truck and van setups really
plus they cost more than a much better sounding trunk setup

Didn't have your coffee this morning? lol. No, I don't have the car right now and unfortunately in Canada we are still using the cubit system, so it's not very easy for us up here to measure small spaces like that using the distance from our middle finger to our forearm.

I can barely get a JL HD amp under each seat. I believe they're around 1.2" tall. There's no way any sub plus enclosure will fit under the seats.
Edit: You might have better luck going with something like the Exodus Anarchy 6.5" in the doors. They dig deep and hit hard and cost about the same as the Kenwood you're looking for. Just like with any aftermarkt speaker in the doors you're going to have to do some modifications to make them fit but it's usually not that much. One member is using them in his doors around here. You would need aftermarket amplification to take advantage of them though.
Or if you don't mind cutting on the doors a little, Morel makes a good 9" that's under $300. Dynaudio also makes a good 9" but they're kind of pricey.

Thanks, I figured as much. I was just trying to figure something out so that I could keep from losing trunk space with a sub box.
One of the reasons I was able to get the the TL was because we have a new child I told my wife that the TL has "about the same space" as our Accord to hold strollers and such.

you have a perfect excuse to give up - babies and subs don't mix well!
and if someone tells otherwise make sure they are talking about "babies" not "babes"

With my 15s in there I recently fit two new tires to take to the tire shop to have them mounted. I fit the fiancées flat tire from her Murano in the trunk and that's an 18" rim with a very tall tire. You lose very little space.

Infinite baffle. I have 2 15s and almost my entire trunk is usable plus it sounds great. One of JLs 13" flat subs that I believe are under 3" deep would be perfect. Good bass and VERY little trunk space taken up.
