Just got 05 TL today - Need some audio advice
Hey guys! New the the forum. Just got my white 05 Acura TL today and im super excited.
I am not going mod crazy, just tints/audio.
I am having trouble finding info on double din installs, but from what I gathered - a custom box needs to be build which I am prepared to get.
The only purchase I made so far is the double din below, which has not been installed yet.VC KW-NT3HDT

I am much more interested in loud crisp sound over super bass.
I plan on buying front and rear speakers, 2 10"s possibly built into my trunk to save room for my clubs

I am not trying to win any competitions - I just want my sound to be better then the majority. AKA - I dont need the $1200 component set but dont want the high schoolers sony explodes.
Its been a while since I had a system so I am trying to brush up on some knowledge.
if someone wants to make some recommendations that would be great.
I would like to stay under $1500 and I already have the head unit nav.
Thanks!

Yeah I have been reading on it and it sounds like a hassle.
Back in high school, I had a 15" kicker and a JL amp and loved it so I would be happy with either of those.
W6V2 10"s maybe?
I listen to it all but a lot of a lot alternative/pop/some rap. Like I said, if my girlfriend and neighbors can here my bass way down the road im in trouble. But a punchy sound and some clear crips mids/highs would be great.
Do I need a 5 channel amp for the set up i need? Is components defiantly the way to go?

I'd ditch your plans on the rear speakers and focus on upgrading the front speakers. A 5 channel would work.
My setup is under $1,200 just to give you some thought. Would I choose this setup if I had $1,200 to spend? Nope lol.
Check out some audio shops and have a listen.
