Just Bought Mine... Reverse Engineering

I am proud to say that I just bought a 2005 5AT Anthracite/Quartz w/ Navi! I got it at Marin Acura in the SF Bay Area, and I can highly recommend them to other buyers.

Two questions:

1) Can anybody recommend a Clear Bra installer in the Bay Area?

2) Since I do a lot of binary analysis and reverse engineering for my job, I'm looking forward to doing my part in hacking the Nav software. Has anybody put together a Wiki or web page to track the current state-of-the-art in Nav hacking? All the information I've seen so far has been spread across a bunch of different threads, and there's no one place to read about what people have learned already.

I would be happy to host a Wiki if people feel that they would participate.

Team Anthracite, here I come...

Welcome!

I'm always glad to hear about more people working on the Navi hack project. Mostly because I don't have that skill set. I think there are a lot of people that would appreciate a webpage for it - not just the hackers, but those of us who must relegate ourselves until someone finishes the project and then gives us a step by step walkthrough at the third-grade level, including pre-hacked files that we would only need to burn ourselves.

PM Invisiguard. He does installs in the Bay Area. He did installs for a bunch of AZ members. Do a search on Bay Area clearbra and you should come up with a number of threads. BTW, congrats and welcome aboard.

Congrats. Now you dont need kids. The TL is more fun, easier to use, and costs less too. When you figure out how to get past the damn nag screen be sure to post.

Congrats! As far as the page, nobody has put one together, but I would be more than happy to host anything you put together on my server.

Being that the whole nav thing runs on as little power as a PDA, I'd like to see an easy way to wire it directly to the bat so it NEVER goes off. I guarantee there are parts of it (memory registers) that never go off already.

Since the clear bra question seems to have been answered, and the main theme of this thread is now the navi mod, I am going to move this to the Navi subforum where it will be more in its home element.
