Hello everyone i have seen so manny post around acurazine about this subject

• My Head Unit Died
• My Cd player is not working
• cd/dvd player is toast!
• i have the same problem....any help besides replacing the unit???

I have my old 04 TL with Navi system and like some of you i´m wondering what is the best solution(Cost-Beneffit) for me since guess what... my head unit died

Doing my reserch i have found these 3 posible options not quite sure wich one is the best that why i would like to hear your points of view, i know for manny of you this is old news, i saw post from 2006 with positives and negatives, i will like to make sure i´m having updated information with your help

Is it easy to install? (by yourself)

I would purchase the iSimple on line and then bring it to the shop or DIY.

There is a shady looking shop called Pimp your Ride in National City. The guys there are really great though and the installer is top notch. do not let the looks influence you. They cater to the Navy crowd and do all sorts of wacky stuff.

do the source buttons on your HU work? you will need to be able to select XM. I would pick up a used HU and have them install at same time.

Thanks for replying pohljm, yes my controls and xm work good the only thing is not working is my cd player.

I did the USA SPEC HON3 not to long ago and it is great ($115 ish from amazon.com). There is a youtube video about the install, so check that out and see if you think you can handle it yourself.

i have had the isimple for a few years now. my only complaint is that when you turn your car on and the music continues to play you have to restart the whole search for a song if you want to hear a different song in the album or playlist you Are on. in other words you cant just hit the back and go to the previous section of your ipod. what also bugs me is when you hit previous song it doesnt restart the song like most devices do. other than that its good, shows song name artitst name time in song. and easy to install

can anyone with a different product who has really broken it in give a review

Purchased I simple installed it yesterday and nothing, it shut my HUD off and no on screen radio controls on nav screen, what gives? Lol as soon as u unplug it everything works fine, is it becuz my car is Canadian?? All this stuff made for u.s. cars? Lol
