Which iSimple model is needed for 2007 TL Type-S?

So I recently bought an iSimple from Best Buy with included warrantied installation. Five hours later, after assuring me that this WAS the product for my car, the tech guy could not figure out how to make it work. He simply came to the conclusion that that particular model would not work with my car. Naturally, I got a full refund and left extremely frustrated.

I believe the model of iSimple he attempted to install was the ISIM74.

My question for you veterans out there is which model iSimple do I need? I have a 2007 TL Type-S with navigation and XM capabilities. To my knowledge I do not have nav-traffic. I would like a integration system that at a minimum charges my iPod/iPhone, displays text on the screen, and allows steering wheel control. Sorry for the novel but I have done lots of searching and found no definite answers, any help is much appreciated!

I wouldn't bother with the iSimple. I have had two and they both ended up working incorrectly after a couple months.

i have a 05 tl and i have the isim74 which i think it the lastest one i bought it 2 months ago. i dont see whhhy iut wouldnt work in the 07 tl. it uses the XM button as the aux input for the ipod... and u have to be care when u press the XM button it will go to XM first but than u have to use the TUNER knob and take ur time and it will turn from XM TO XM2 to ipod to AUX1 TO AUX2. but why bother with the isim when u have the aux option if u dont mind me askin, unless u want to full integrate the ipod to the car.

iSimple ISIM74 (new model) + PGHHD2 Harness to interface to the xmnav traffic. Had mine installed for over a year (ISIM73 old model) and works fine. Occasionally they will release new firmware that you have to update the module on their webside, but ive never had any problems. Only difference between the 73 to the 74 is a thicker ipod cable from the module with an inline fuse because they were having problems with power surges.. ive never had a problem but thats why they changed them

My Isimple works perfect in my 06 navi. I used ISHD571 But its a different harness I believe if you have nav traffic.
