I just purchased an iSimple Gateway online for my 2004 Acura TL w/Navigation. I was hoping to use it with my iPhone4. I just got the unit in the mail and the iPhone 4 isn't listed as a compatible device on the side of the box. I was under the impression the ISHD571 was the newest iSimple Gateway available for the 2004-08 Acura TL. Does anyone know if I will experience any problems after I have the unit installed?

Secondly, I am wondering what the best location for placement of the unit would be for me. I wanted to run the ipod cable through the center console like so many of you have, however I don't have the "notch" cutout on the rim of the arm rest closure to allow for the cable to sit flush so the console lid can be closed. Do you think this cutout could be made with a tool or should I look elsewhere to put the cable connector?

I remember reading something from the manufacturer stating that it isn't "certified" *yet*. But, that doesn't mean it won't work. I'm sure there are some folks on here that are using the phone you have, with the device you just got, and comment on it specifically.
