I just picked up a 05 non-navi TL. I'd like to replace the stock stereo with a quality aftermarket dvd player/navi unit, preferably with a static (non retractable) face.

I did a search, but couldn't find any threads with success stories and the FAQ had nothing either.

Anyone do anything like this?

 

There are a couple of threads by people who have installed their own variations of a navi. Two for example are King of Pain and the klassic. There are others too but I don't remember their names. Sorry guys. They did an excellent job which required much time and patience and I suppose, money. I was looking to do the same as well but don't have the time nor the little bit of electrical skills to do so. Looking for someone to help me with the install if at all possible. Good luck.

So there's not really any way to just pull out the stock deck and put a pioneer z2 (or something like it) in there?

I would prefer to not do a lot of rearranging of the components. And yes, i did search. I bumped a thread but no one has responded to it.
