IB15a for sale.... I'm not selling, just an FYI
http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...brand-new.html
Just thought I would share. I hope someone buys it because I'm about to do it myself which will get me in lots of trouble.

I would jump on this sucker, I haven't missed a day of checking classifieds since November and this is the first IB15a I've seen for sale... and it's brand new too. I almost got it just to have a spare but money is a little tight.
All IB15s are a single coil.

The following is purely my opinion so keep that in mind....
Using just one of these will give you a lower QTC. My personal preference is a lower QTC. Transients seem to be better, low end is a little better not that it needs more low end. It won't be quite as loud from 40hz to 80hz and the difference is barely audible but running one sort of has benefits. You will be able to load up your trunk with junk and not effect the SQ.

That's the right one, mine has the "a" on the sticker. IB15a-4 I believe. It's the auto version, 4ohm instead of 8 for the home version and a .4QTS vs a .7 which is more suitable for a trunk vs true IB in a house.

Looks like you got it, awesome!
I like the even dimensions... Cutout diameter is 14" and overall diameter is 15.5". If you decide to double up on the baffle, it's so easy. Cut one baffle with a 14" hole, the other with a 15.5" hole. Lay one over the other, glue and screw together then cut to fit the car. I used the scraps for additional bracing on the back side.

Yes! Thanks for posting this here because I check this forum more often than DIYMA and probably would have missed out on this sale. I'm going to try and mount it like on the Obsidian build. Let me know if you have any other tips.
