IB through the rear deck?
Hey guys, so the f-ing proliferation of IB installs (which I partially attribute to IHC) has me thinking. Has anyone done ib through the rear deck? I'm sure it will not be better than the typical 15's through the rear seat, but it may be better than a small sealed box.
A good friend of mine, and meca extreme champ, did 4 10's ib through his deck in his BMW. Do you guys think this could be accomplished in our cars with 3 10's? Enough cone area? Just wondering, if its dumb, I can take it.

IMO more work that through the seats
seats are almost transparent to the bass, the deck is not
you'll need to open up the deck, and close down the seats with metal or wood
i'm sure the deck also plays some structural role, weakening it may not be a good idea
but then, show me at least one car audio nut who's actions are rational

Yeah. Really trying to not go through rear seats, I have a really nice amp mount with custom zapco stacking plates for my 1000.4, 650.6 and 750.2. I should have mentioned that in the op

well if you have a boxed setup you don't have to do anything
the seat and the deck without mods will let plenty of bass through
but if trunk space is an issue than you have to get creative

The box is ok. It's a custom side firing fiberglass enclosure, much like the uncald4 or wicked cas box, it's just smaller so I'm finding I the enclosure is not large enough for the various 12's I've been trying. This is really the root problem. I have good trunk space now with my sub and amp arrangement, especially considering the size and quantity of amps I have. I've also read a neat thread on hearing a sub vs hearing the box and it got me thinking.
