I have to transfer audio to TL HFL each call.

I was able to link my LG EnV2 to my TL, but each time I make a call thru the phone, I would then have to transfer the audio manual to the TL's HFL? Is there a way to correct this? The phone is linked as I could see the battery bar and signal strength on the dash... Just doesn't let me dial and sound coming out of the TL until I use the phone to transfer the audio..

Thanks in advance!

check www.handsfreelink.com and put in your vehicle specs.
it'll tell you which phones are compatible with what features.

for example.
a phone could be complatible with linking the phone up, but some features arent going to be available.

edit; I just went on the website for you and it says that your phone should be compatible.

make sure that you check the bluetooth options on your phone.
VISIBLE should be on so that when you get in your car, your car will automatically find your phone.

Phone and the car finds each other when I get in. Only issue is that when I used the phone to make the call, audio automatically goes to the phone and I have to manually transfer to TL's HFL. When I manual do that, it work.

I just added numbers to TL's phonebook and when I call from it, it works fine. Its small annoying little things like this that bothers me.

Check your phone's "Car settings" [that's what it's called on Motorolas, anyway] -- "auto answer" should be "Off" and "auto handsfree" should be "On."

Welcome to AZ.

Frankly I think the HFL application is really poorly designed. For a car that is perfect is just about everything else the HFL is not at all user friendly.

I spent about 15 mins adding few people on the TL phonebook. Seems like that's the way to make calls. I've tried everything and I just can't seem to dial out of my phone. I guess I just have to deal with this.

By the way, I am liking the TL! Its not the same as my RX8 regarding making turns but definitely is a comfortable ride to work and back.

Oops, I misread your earlier post and thought you had a problem receiving calls on the HFL, which the phone settings control.

Only methods for calls out:
1) Use the HFL phonebook,
2) voice-dial the number on the HFL (talking quickly works better than speaking slowly on my TL's HFL),
3) dial on the phone, hang up before call connects, then say "redial" with the HFL, or
4) dial on phone and transfer manually to HFL like you've been doing-- it's a pain due to the lag time and need to have the call connected.

Running an HTC here and when I have the dialer up after making a call and hit Menu... I have the option to switch to Hands free. This eliminated the requirement to use the HFL transfer command. I wish I could always have the calls dial out using handsfree when it is connected.

Who the hell wouldnt?
