i got my non navi 2 navi conversion done by martin from new jersey...i got a great deal off of ebay an 07 dvd disk drive for 130 bucks with dvd disk,without reading up on a few compatibility issues with the drive with 04 acura tl's...everything works well ecept i cannot make calls thru navi i have to do it thru the side buttons,i can live with that..the navigation is on point,touch screen is a bit off but not that big of a deal it works well....my main problem is that after 1am my clock display acts strange,it show its 7am once it hits 1am..it shows the correct time on the navigation but my display will not show the correct time...is it becuase im using the older display clock? i try to do it manualy but after 1am it would not sync at al till afternoon 12pm...anybody has any light to shed on this i will greatly apreciate this

hey i have an 04TL and martin installed navi in mine too few weeks ago works perfectly fine he tested everyfunction in the system before he left for NJ. check with him he's pretty quick in replying..

i wanted to get it way below retail from dealer when buying it equiped and i dont think i did too bad...

he did my wifes tsx a year ago and the navi works great...i cant really ask martin for help on this one becuase its an hardware issue with 07 navi drives on 04 tl's..its very minor issue,just that the dash clock does not sync with the navigation from 1am to 12pm..then it updates and the display clock runs fine..i might just buy the new 07 navi display in the furture,hopefully it would fix the small problem...

but i love the navi itself..zagat surveys the display features are awesome

That eBay auction is for an '06 Navi drive.
How were you able to get '07 software to work?

the manufature date on the drive is 06...with auto parts in the general rule is that the part date is made a year behind im using the new 08 4.62 white disk (torrent copy)the disk came with the 4.5...

my used navi screen manufacture date is 2003..but that screen is for 04

model number is diffrent from the older versions its an 07 even tho the man.date is 06

I'm curious about this. I did notice the model number on delray acura is different from the one on your ebay post. Since you are using a torrent, are you sure you're using the newer version disc? Could have been mislabeled. If you are using the newer version, your on screen buttons would have a brushed metallic look, and you'd have Nav Traffic icons on the map screen.

I'm wondering just how much hardware I'd have to change on my 06 TL to convert to 07 Nav. For a low enough price I might do it even if I didn't swap out the XM stuff for the traffic signal.

its the same numbers as the delray website..look at the lable pictures...you will not have nav traffic and sirus isnt fully supported..but everything else works..my first post i mentioned a bit about it.....i say stick with your older navi its 100% compatible

If I have an 06 w/ Navi, are the wire harnesses the same as an 07+? I would hate to re-wire my TL just to get Zagat ratings and NavTraffic (yes, I know i need to swap out the HU, XM and a bunch of other stuff). Wait. I think there's an extra wire now that goes into the DVD unit from the XM unit for NavTraffic. Damn it.

you will still get zagat surveys..i believe there harness the same becuase i got my put together by martin in jersey that sell'n oem style wires for 04-06

im using the 04 radio and it works fine showing all the options on the navi screen and radio info...xm works strange tho,when i buy the 07 display unit im going to re-up this post to let people know if it fix my clock issue

Hopefully this question isn't a stupid one but...this total doesn't include the nav system that you had to buy right?

How much did you pay including buying the navigation system?

yea thats for everything..nav system,intallation/harness....if your patient enuff anybody can get a good deal on ebay

damn...that is great...so "Martin" cost way more than the unit itself....i guess it's worth it though cause i am sure it increased the value of your car (as well as the driving experience)

so far i get lucky bidding on people that have little to zero feedback on ebay..thats when you normaly will get the best deal on an item but you might risk on get'n the item damaged or not working at all..you can also get a deal on people with the buy it now option becuase they want cash quick...main thing the item description marks its working...

be patient and keep in mind how much you want to spend..i wanted to keep it below 1500.00 but i might have gone too 1600.00..i just wanted to get it way below retail
