I am having an issue with the Driver 1 and 2 settings.

My cars are garaged at night so there is no need to lock them. Every now and then I reluctanly let my wife drive my car. She has the driver 2 key and her seat, mirrors, AND radio settings are switched to her settings. The next time I go to drive it, I get in the car (already unlocked) and press the driver 1 button on the door. This changes everything back EXCEPT the radio stations! So I am now driving off to my destination and my presets are all jacked, including XM. I can only get them back by pulling over turning the car off, locking and unlocking with my key.
Can anyone here tell me how to switch them back to my settings while driving? Thanks!

There is no way to do this if you leave it unlocked at night. I would lock the cars at night, it gives more peace of mind that you have a safety precaution and will keep your radio settings in the morning. In all honesty, I live in a neighborhood where you could leave your garage door and front door open all the time and nothing would happen, but I still lock the cars, doors and close the garage door and put the lock on it. Though it might sound like overkill, its better to be safe than sorry. thats just my

I agree with locking the doors also. It's taken me 11 years to get my wife to lock the doors on her minivan. Although it has nothing to do with your question, I just wanted to throw in a little gripe.

I was actually told the opposite by the police. We had a detatched garage at the time, which was locked and my wife's new accord was kept locked inside. They broke in the garage and broke out the rear window and climed through. Didn't take anything but CD's.

When the police arrived, they said it would be better to leave it unlocked (inside the garage) because they would get in anyway, so you are better off leaving it unlocked so they don't break anything to get in.

Now, the garage is right underneath my bedroom, so not really a problem, but I still leave the vehicles unlocked and just don't leave crap in there but CD's (not even that anymore with MP3).

You can actually just hit the unlock button and save yourself one button push. I think it registers the key fob with any button push.

This works. My wife used to drive the TL often and I just got in the habbit of hitting the unlock button before opening the door.
