I'm freaking out and I need your help.

I went in vacation for 2 days. When I came back, my neighbors told me the alarm of my acura tl went off 3-4 times. So I went at my car and I found out my battery was completely dead. I called a friend how came to my house and made some test on my battery to see what was the problem. He told me my battery was bad, so I bought a new one.

SO today, I install the new battery, everything seems fine. I lock the door with the remote and go inside. 5 minutes later, the alarm go off. I check everything, I close the door harder , lock and go inside. 5 minutes later, the alarm goes off.

So I go on the internet, tried a few things like disconnect the hood latch. Nothing works ... When I go in the car, I can see that the passenger door and the rear passenger door show open !! But they are close. Even If I push the sensor IN, the door still show open ...

I go back to the driver side and when I open de door, there is no lights that come up ... I had to wait 15 secondes to see the MAP light go on ... WTF is this all about seriously. I really need help. Thanks

Seems like you have a door pin switch wire thats shorting out to ground thats why the dash shows a door is ajar.

It could be a defective map lamp. Disconnect that and see what happens.

So this morning, no more problem with the 2 doors ajar on the screen.

BUT , when I opened the rear passenger side, the front passenger side show that it's open too .... I close the rear and open the front and the same thing happen, it says the rear is now open too.

Any idea where to start looking at ? I think I will change both sensor and see what happen but I don't think it will change anything, it looks like a wire problem ...

^ No need to buy new ones just swap them from side to side (one at a time).

^ Post #3... is the map lamp connected or not?
