I have a 2005 TL and was wondering how to extract information from the navigation system to a laptop computer? Stuff like all the recent addresses? I asked my dealer about this but they weren't sure even who makes the navigation system.

On a related note, I've heard that different software can be loaded into the navigation system to play MP3 audio and other stuff? Is that true?

i dont know about software to add mp3 capabilities and i dont think that you could just do it that way. as far as downloading that type of info off the nav i havent herd of anything like that othere then people looking at the programs and file on a differant computer to hack it but not look at the info as you would in the car on a laptop. what are you trying to acomplish by doing this?

As far as I have heard the Navi is done by Alpine. Dont know if that helps but maybe contact them.

"different software to play mp3" is misleading by others.... what some hav done is completly revert the tl into a 'carputer'... a complete touchscreen computer inplace of where the navi is supposed to be

regarding the adresses, i dont believe this is possible; i dont think it is stored on the dvd or stored in the ecu
