How do I mute phone with HFL?
This is probably a stupid question, but do I need to use my cell phone's mute option to mute a call when using HFL? I usually link the phone and then put it away in the storage compartment, but I may have to get on a conference call this afternoon which means I have to mute when I'm not talking. I'm hoping I don't have to touch my phone to do this but I don't have my manual with me so I'm not sure... would appreciate any help I can get! :)
Thanks! |
Mute
You need to actually use the mute softkey on the phone. This will mute out the HFL as well.
Works great on conference calls. -B |
Well, you can say the "Mute" command, but this can be a problem when recieving an incoming call as dicussed in this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=mute

That would probably work for me, I'm not that popular so I don't usually get two calls at once. ;)
I wonder if the people on the call hear you say "mute", or if it blocks out what you say after you push the HFL button.... I would just use the mute button on my phone if it had a simple one-button mute - it's a Nokia 6620 and you have to navigate thru a menu to mute when you're on a call! Stupidest thing I've ever seen, on a call mute should just be a default button option. Unless of course there is another way I missed on the phone, in which case I'm the stupid one! :what: Anyway, thanks for the help - I'll give the voice mute command a try! |
No, people can't hear you say mute since (as you said), it blocks out whatever you say after you press the HFL button. BTW, you also say "mute" to unmute the phone.
