So I picked up my 04 TL a few days ago, been playing with the GPS a good bit doing routing and what not.. for the last few days i haven't heard the lady talk unless I asked her to (from the "voice" button).. now she is giving me updates when i get close to my turns.. i like both options but like to have the OPTION when to turn it on and off..

What am I missing?

I think the name of the command is VOICE
it has a slider and an "off" setting.

If you click off, she doesn't give you directions. Unless you press voice. The directions themselves are still displayed properly.

You can make her/him really quiet with the slider as well. But then other people in the car don't shut up when she starts giving directions, so you miss them. I find it difficult to use the voice to my advantage.

I wish clicking the cancel button would shut-up the navigation system for the current message.
