Hi, I purchased a new acura tl type s 2008 about 2 months ago. I would like to know what I need to purchase (cable?) for my navigation screen to play dvds? From what I know my navigation player can play DVD-audio.

I am also looking in to these options, and what I've found so far, is you would need to "interrupt" the signal going to the screen. Also, it would require an additional dvd player.

I am pretty sure (99%) that the built in/OEM Navi disk player CANNOT play DVD's. You have to add in an aftermarket unit and then connect to the screen.

I believe you will need the nav2go unit and a dvd player. I know there are other products out now though so I suggest you search. There are lots of threads on this
