Software

Have you tried it with the car yet. I've never seen a BB that didn't work with the TL. It make not have been tested yet.

If there are software updates you will need to get them from your carrier or directly from RIM. I suggest you take a look at RIM's web site, but since your phone is new there probably aren't any firmware upgrades out for it yet.

Try it with the car.

What is the problem? Does it not pair? Are you doing it right?

It takes more than Bluetooth alone to ensure compatibility. Your TL employs a specific BT profile called HandsFreeLink (HFL). Another BT profile used for wireless headsets is called HFP. They sound similar but they are different profiles entirely and are not interchangeable. Different phones support different profiles; not all BT enabled phones support HFL. Check the manufacturer's and/or your wireless provider's web site to see if HFL is supported by your phone.

I have the 7100c which uses the same Bluetooth stack that the 8700c uses (v2) and my phone works perfectly, can you provide more info on what is NOT working, i.e. pairing, answering, etc.

Just because the phone isn't listed doesn't mean it's incompatable. It just means they haven't certified it against the TL yet. Go ahead and pair it following the Acura instructions. More than likely .. it'll work just fine!
