HID issue

I hate to start a thread for this, but I need answers fast and have little time to search.

I removed and modded my headlights on the weekend and today I noticed one of my HIDs isn't shining. The problem is, I don't know if it is the bulb or something else.

I found a quick write up on here for baking the headlights, however, I didn't realize it was for the Acura CL, which does not have projectors. In it, it stated to put the headlight on a wet towel in the oven, which I did. When I pulled the headlight out, there was condensation in the projector housing. I took out the screw to let it dry completely, which I'm sure it did, however, I don't know if it compromised the bulb.

Before baking, I removed the ballasts, and pretty much any loose pieces, besides taking the HID bulbs out. One headlight is ok. The other one isn't.

I checked to make sure that I did reconnect all the harness plugs, which I did, so now I'm guessing either the ballast crapped out or the bulb did. Not sure which. Is there a way to test which it is? And if so, how?

I also don't know if the bulb/ballast was working immediately after reinstallation. I assumed they were, judging by the light spread, but I'm guessing it was just the one headlight shining. Even today I thought they were both on, but upon pulling up behind another car, I could see only one was on.

Anyone have any ideas??? Ordering new bulbs isn't the issue, but I have to wait for them to be shipped to canada. I don't want to get a new bulb only to find out that isn't the problem.

Have you tried switching the bulbs? That's the easiest and quickest way to tell if it is a bulb issue versus a ballast issue.

I had my s2000 headlights cleared and a buddy of mine baked them. AFAIK, he took out the bulbs when baking as to not compromise the bulbs. Maybe not removing the bulbs before baking was a mistake, as to why it only compromised one bulb and not the other, don't know.
