Anyone tried HFL to call a contact on the imported cellular list ? Don't think you can do it or can you? Nothing in the manual.

it doesnt work like that (as far as i know), I can import the phone book, and then look at it on the nav screen (useless to me) or i have to program the audible names in the HFL separately

That's what I figured, thx though.
Have you tried using your Homelink for the garage door, etc
cause mine doesn't seem to work, may be because I reside in an
appartment building.

You can't use the voice dial for HFL to dial an imported contact, but you can go through the menu on your navi screen. When you go to Contacts, you choose which phone, select the contact, and it'll give you the option to Send to HFL (or something, it's been a while since I've done it). The only time it's ever been convenient for me is if I wanted to dial someone I didn't call often and didn't feel like getting my phone out of my pocket.

HomeLink's site is pretty helpful for programming:
http://www.homelink.com/program.php
I believe there are instructions on Acura's Ownerlink as well. I haven't had issues programming my Homelink for my garage door. I can usually open it about 2-3 houses away, but that is based on your garage door opener and any interfering objects (concrete walls, etc) more than the TL's transceiver. I've never tried programming it to open a community gate though (never needed to).

Hope this helps... welcome to the forums

Stupid question, where is the phonebook display on the nav screen? My HFL is pretty new to me, I just got it working a week ago. I wasn't sure how to pair my phone but figured out how. I was under the impression that the phonebook is only audible, I didn't know you could see your contacts...
