HFL W/Motorola V600

Question? Once the phone is placed in the discovery or Bluetooth mode, how long will it remain in that mode without actually using the HFL? I'm concerned about putting the phone in that mode to accept incoming calls when it may be at least 15 or 20 minutes before I actually receive a call. It sort of defeats the purpose of having the HFL if the phone is going to program itself out after a set period of time. It seems to be very tedious to have to continually put the phone in the Bluetooth mode if you don't receive any incoming calls.

Are you saying that the phone disconnects from the HFL after a while? If you connect to the HFL it should stay connected no matter how long you go without getting a call.

correct

automata is correct. as long as there is a bluetooth connection between the V600 and the car it will stay connected. When I shut off the car, the V600 will look for a bluetooth signal for 60 seconds then it turns off. When I turn the car back on, it auto reconnects. Hope this helps!

Works for me just as TXTL said... Also make sure that you plug the V600 into the car charger. The bluetooth sucks the battery on the V600...

Same, I've only run into minor problems, nothing to complain about.

I think being connected via bluetooth drain the battery more though.

If you don't leave the phone in discovery mode I don't think the car will detect the phone the next time you get in the car.

If you listen carefully you will hear phone make a beep/tone when it drops the bluetooth search.

Yes, the battery life sucks when the bluetooth link is active. I always leave the phone plugged in when in the car. Not sure if there is a "memory" issue with these batteries.....
